Lisa George

Founder & CEO, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Throughout her career as a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry and Family Health, Lisa George has become a trusted provider for individuals navigating complex mental and emotional challenges. Known for her ability to connect deeply with patients while maintaining a rigorous, evidence-based approach, she brings both clinical precision and genuine empathy to her work.

Her commitment to mental health became profoundly personal when her son was diagnosed with autism at age three. That experience exposed the fragmentation often present in care and underscored the need for a more integrated, patient-centered approach. In response, she founded Talk Tribeca Psychiatry—a practice designed to deliver expert psychiatric care that is not only clinically sound, but also compassionate, accessible, and continuous.

Lisa further advanced her training through the prestigious Post-Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Fellowship at Hunter-Bellevue, where she worked alongside leading clinicians and developed expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions. She also brings academic depth to her practice, having served as an Associate Professor of Psychology at the City University of New York and currently holding Clinical Associate Professor appointments at Pace University, and Hunter-Bellevue.

Committed to advancing the field, Lisa is completing her Doctorate, expected in 2026, with a research focus on improving the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD and comorbid anxiety disorders across the lifespan. At Talk Tribeca, she integrates clinical rigor, academic insight, and authentic warmth—delivering care that is thoughtful, individualized, and grounded in science, so patients can move beyond symptom management and truly thrive.
